First-time Jobless Claims In US Edge Higher
First-time jobless claims in the U.S. rose modestly last week though the increase was not as great as analysts expected.
Applications for unemployment benefits rose in the week ended Sept. 29 by 4,000 to 367,000, the Labor Department said Thursday.
Analysts polled by Bloomberg News expected 370,000.
