Manny Pacquiao's coach Freddie Roach has revealed that his boxer is open to a fight against Errol Spence and Terence Crawford but also shared whom the Filipino boxing legend really wanted to fight next after Keith Thurman.

The clash of two of the most talked-about welterweights in the world today is fast approaching. And while both Pacquiao and Thurman are busy preparing for the fight, Roach opened up about the fighter he and Pacquiao are both hoping for a match with after Thurman.

In a recent interview with Boxing Scene, Roach discussed what boxing means to Pacquiao at this stage of his career. "We want to be in the fight game. But we don’t want to just be in the fight game, we want to be the best in the fight game," Roach said.

The 59-year-old trainer also mentioned Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s name and divulged that a win against Thurman will be their ticket for a rematch with the undefeated champ. But should Mayweather be "too scared," Pacquiao could face either Spence or Crawford.

"If Mayweather doesn’t come to the table after this fight, if he’s too scared, then we have Crawford. There’s a lot of good names out there, Errol Spence and so forth. If we get offered those tough guys coming up we’re not going to say no because we want to be the best at what we do. We’re not just in this game for money," Roach noted.

Roach then continued by revealing the main reason why they still feel the itch to fight Mayweather one more time. "We’re a little embarrassed about the way the first one went. It didn’t live up to what it was supposed to. We’d like that one back one more time. If Mayweather doesn’t come to the table, though, we’re not done with boxing yet," Roach revealed.

Roach went on to say that he thinks Crawford and Spence would make sense as well, but they "tremendously" want Mayweather. He also talked about why the fight did not go the way it should have.

"We both want Floyd tremendously because, again, we’re both embarrassed the way that fight went. At the fourth round Manny told me he couldn’t use his shoulder anymore, I said ‘Do the best you can’ and that was all we could do. We’d like to get that one back because we didn’t fight the best fight we could and we feel we can do much better," Roach emphasized.

The Mayweather rematch is not yet guaranteed even if Pacquiao managed to win against Thurman. But the Filipino legend seemed determined to make a statement as Roach mentioned in the past that Pacquiao is hungry for a first knockout win at 147.
