Another NBA team is getting involved in the world of crypto. FTX, a leading cryptocurrency platform, is now an international rights sponsor of the Golden State Warriors.

The partnership makes FTX the Warriors’ official cryptocurrency platform and NFT marketplace. The deal starts in early 2022 and allows FTX to have a visible market presence, inclusive of Golden State’s logo and likeness, accross the globe, according to nba.com.

“Cryptocurrency has a well-established worldwide community and is going to continue to be a major part of the sports, media and entertainment industries,” Warriors President and Chief Operating Officer Brandon Schneider said in a statement. “In our conversations with FTX, we quickly realized our joint desire to innovate around cryptocurrency integration and adoption, including the role NFTs play in global fan engagement.”

The agreement is a multi-year deal worth more than $10 million , CNBC reports.

In September, FTX announced a partnership with Golden State’s best player. Stephen Curry was named a brand ambassador for the company. FTX has deals with Curry and Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady, two of the most popular athletes in the world.

“Through our partnership with Stephen Curry, we were introduced to the Warriors organization, and we are excited to partner with a franchise that aligns with our core values,” said FTX U.S. President Brett Harrison. “The FTX US NFT Platform will provide a leading, safe and secure venue for the Warriors' international fan base to access exclusive collectables from the franchise.”

The Miami Heat now play their home games at FTX Arena. FTX reportedly agreed to pay $135 million over 19 years for the venue’s naming rights.

The Los Angeles Lakers announced last month that Staples Center would be renamed Crypto.com Arena on Christmas Day because of an agreement with the cryptocurrency platform.
