Google says co-founder Page to replace CEO
Google Inc said co-founder Larry Page will take charge of day-to-day operations as chief executive officer starting April 4.
Current CEO Eric Schmidt will assume the role of executive chairman.
Google also reported revenue of $8.44 billion in the fourth quarter, compared with $6.67 billion in the year-ago period.
Net revenue, excluding fees that Google paid to partner websites, was $6.37 billion. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S, on average, were expecting net revenue of $6.06 billion.
