Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho was coy when asked about the reported attempts of a knife attack on him at the La Coruna airport last week.

On Friday, Spanish radio channel Cadena Ser reported that one of Mourinho's bodyguards at the airport was injured with a 4cm stab wound near his arm pit last Saturday. It is believed that the intended target of the attack was Mourinho.

When questioned at a press conference, Mourinho said, I don't know anything. I've not seen anything, I didn't feel anything. I arrived, went to the hotel, played the game, returned to Madrid. They told me a few days ago that a bodyguard had something on his back done with something sharp. I don't know anything more. The matter is closed, for me there is no story.

I arrived in La Coruna where there were a lot of people in the airport as always. We had the same protection as always with the team. Absolutely nothing has happened to me.''

Real Madrid haven't made an official announcement about the incident.

Spanish newspaper El Periodico had reported that, Mourinho stopped to sign autographs in arrivals, where a large number of Madrid fans were waiting for the team. The bodyguard was near the manager and noticed he had been stabbed in the armpit. Mourinho was very worried by the incident.
