  • Juventus rallied back to end the match at a 2-2 draw
  • Ronaldo said he sees a "bright future" for Juventus

Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is looking forward to seeing what his club is capable of in the near future. His words come after the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s club rallied back for a 2-2 draw against Roma.

The opening half saw Roma take control as Jordan Veretout scored two goals to put them ahead 2-1. Ronaldo sparked a comeback to tie the game at 2-2 and avoid a loss in the Serie A team standings.

"I think it is a point earned," Ronaldo told Sky Sport Italia.

The match ended with Ronaldo scoring a brace of his own despite Adrien Rabiot tallying a red card.

"It had become a complicated situation but we got back into it, even after the red card, so by the end of the campaign this could prove to be an important point," Ronaldo added.

The previous Serie A campaign saw Juventus dominate and claim its 36th championship. The club is looking to maintain its momentum and is aiming for more success in the near future.

"We're at the start of the season, there's a new coach, new ideas, but I see the team working well. We're enthusiastic and I see a bright future for us,” Ronaldo shared.

One of the more promising aspects for Juventus is how Ronaldo remains in top condition. This was evident in the recent match as the 35-year-old delivered the play of the game. Ronaldo leaped high to capitalize on a Danilo cross and netted the tying goal at 2-2 with a header.

"What we're seeing is that the team is happy to work with a smile," Ronaldo said.

The rest of Juventus shared this positive energy as they’re looking forward to making the most of the season. This is especially true for new addition Alvaro Morata as he’s excited to contribute to the strong performances of the club.

"Juve took a punt on me when I was younger and coming back was a dream of mine," Morata shared, Goal reported.

The 27-year-old reflected on how glad he was to suit up for Juventus and is hopeful about playing a role in winning the Champions League.

"Leaving Juventus was not up to me. I was happy in Madrid, but now it's important for me to be here and I have kept in touch with everyone over the years," Morata added.

Challenges and adjustments will be evident throughout the season, and the club remains focused on winning this year.

"The Champions League is very important to Juventus. If we were to win it this year, I would be the happiest man in the world. We want to win it," Morata concluded.

Juventus’ next Serie A match will be against Napoli on Oct. 5.
