Lindsay Lohan has revealed that there's a great piece of advice from one of cinema's most enduring icons, Al Pacino, that has stayed with her all these years.

The 36-year-old actress met Pacino,82, when she acted in the play "Speed-the-Plow," written by the actor's friend, David Mamet, in London in 2014. It was then that the actor offered Lohan some words of wisdom regarding her career.

"He always says, 'Focus on your craft when it comes to your work.' And I think that's really important. Don't let other outside things blur your vision," Lohan told Cosmopolitan in an interview that was published Monday.

"I actually have asked him for a lot of advice for a lot of things, especially work-wise and just life-wise, just because he's a great person to talk to," she added.

The "Freaky Friday" actress revealed she could not help but fangirl when she saw "The Godfather" actor in a restaurant in San Francisco recently.

"Recently, I was at a restaurant in San Francisco with my husband and his family, and all of a sudden, this waiter was bringing our food to a different table, or I thought he was... I was like, 'Oh no, he's taking that to the other table,' and then I realized he was blocking a paparazzi flash," Lohan recalled. "And so when he came by, I go, 'Oh, thank you so much for doing that.' And he goes, 'Oh. No, I wasn't blocking it for you. Al Pacino's here.'"

She continued, "I went to say hi. I don't get nervous talking to him on the phone, but I was nervous this time. And I was like, 'Is it okay if we take a picture? We need to photograph this moment.'"

Lohan is currently living in Dubai with her husband, Credit Suisse Assistant Vice President Bader Shammas. Lohan describes her husband as "amazing" and a "very calm person."

In July, Lohan surprised her followers when she uploaded a now-deleted Instagram post with Shammas and called him her "husband."

"I am the luckiest woman in the world. Not because I need a man, but because he found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time," Lohan wrote at the time, according to People. "I am stunned that this is my husband. My life and my everything. Every woman should feel like this every day."
