  • De Bruyne's agent says his client is not looking to leave Man City
  • Man City's verdict of their appeal against the ban is expected by next week
  • Man City are yet to win the UEFA Champions League

Kevin de Bruyne’s agent has revealed his client has no plans of leaving Manchester City as the club awaits the verdict of their appeal against the Union of European Football Associations' (UEFA) two-year ban from the Champions League.

UEFA, the governing body of European soccer, declared in February that Man City breached Financial Fair Play (FPP) regulations and also had failed to cooperate with the investigation of the same. As a result, the four-time Premier League champions Man City were handed a two-year ban along with a fine of $33 million.

Following that, Man City appealed against the ban at Court of Arbitration for Sport, for which, the verdict will be heard next week. If the ban stands, reportedly, Man City’s big names including de Bruyne may leave the club looking for Champions League play.

In the wake of the rumors regarding de Bruyne’s departure from Etihad, his agent Patrick De Koster has disclosed the midfielder’s mindset.

“At the moment he is not at all busy with that. He still has a three-year contract with a team that belongs to the world top. In a club and a city where Kevin feels good and appreciated. There will be many people who find this very woolly, but he's not on a transfer,” De Koster told Dutch publication Sporza.

De Koster has also admitted that he has received interest from a few clubs as his client is one of the best players in the world at present.

“There is always an informal interest for a good player in the football world. Whether this is KDB or Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo or Griezmann. If everything I read in the papers were correct, then I need a 48-hour watch and I should be all over the world at the same time. I can declare in good conscience here and even swear on my children's head that everything I read is 90 percent b-------,” added De Koster in the same interview with the Dutch publication.

De Bruyne has scored 13 goals in 41 appearances for Man City in the ongoing season. While the title race in the Premier League has ended, Man City are very much alive in the Champions League, a trophy the English club has never won.
