  • Juliana Carlos got into an argument with LeBron James
  • The courtside fan was ejected due to the heated exchange with the NBA player
  • Juliana has offered an apology for her behavior

Juliana Carlos, the courtside fan who got into a war of words with LeBron James, has apologized for crossing the line.

However, the apology didn’t seem to be directed towards the Los Angeles Lakers star.

The 25-year-old was ejected from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta along with her husband and two other friends after a not-so-cordial verbal exchange with James in the fourth quarter of the Lakers’ 107-99 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Monday.

The 25-year-old accepts that she went overboard with her language and took full responsibility for her actions, but the apology did not seem to be aimed at the four-time NBA champion.

"To say things escalated quickly at yesterday's game is an understatement, and I want to apologize for losing my cool and removing my mask in the heat of the moment," Juliana said in a statement on Instagram.

"My husband is a huge sports fan and we're passionate people, and let's be real; sports wouldn't be sports without a little trash-talking."

"What should have been quick back-and-forth between two adults got out of hand and my natural instinct to stand up for the man I love kicked in,” she continued. "Did I get defensive when that happened? Yes. Did I use offensive language when I could have taken the higher road? yes. And for these things, I take full responsibility."

"King James" labeled Juliana a "Courtside Karen" after getting wind of the expletive-laden video response to the ejection.

James, however, believes that they should have not been tossed out of the venue.

“I’m happy that fans are back in the building. I miss that interaction. I need that interaction. We as players need that interaction. I don’t think it was warranted to be kicked out. There was a back-and-forth between two grown men, and we said our piece. He said his piece, I said my piece. And then someone else jumped into it and said their piece,” James said after the game, as quoted on Larry Brown Sports.
