  • Brazil national team coach Tite said Neymar was the third best player in the world after Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi
  • Tite commented on Neymar's current style of playing
  • Neymar was ranked only 7th in Barcelona's best forwards of the century

Brazil national team head coach Tite ranked Neymar as the third best player after Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

In his stellar career, Neymar has been a superstar in his home land. With his impeccable playmaking skills and ability to score goals at the same time, the Brazilian quickly emerged as one of the best soccer players in the world. He was often put in the same breath as his former Barcelona teammate Messi and Portuguese superstar Ronaldo.

However, Brazil national team coach Tite recently spoke to France Football and said he believes that the best Neymar was that creative and piercing player that first made an impact in Barcelona.

Despite pointing out that Neymar was at his best form at Camp Nou, Tite also believes the Brazilian’s impact has not diminished yet . In fact, the veteran coach insisted that no player could equal Neymar, of course, excluding eternal soccer rivals Ronaldo and Messi, as the best player in the world today, Besoccer.com reported.

"Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo excluded , I haven't seen another player today who has reached the exceptional level of Neymar when he has been at his peak mentally and physically. Not Hazard, not Griezmann, not Pogba ," Tite said.

In terms of Neymar’s current playing style, Tite said that the 28-year-old forward is still a promising player as he "reassures you, because he brings unpredictability to your game.” However, the Brazilian coach also admitted that Neymar is “essential but not irreplaceable,” Goal.com reported.

"He will offer you an individual or collective solution that others cannot, and with him, the potential of a team is not the same, because he will sparkle. The Neymar I am speaking of is the one who was within full mental and physical capacities. Neymar is essential, but not irreplaceable,” Tite said of Neymar.

Thus far, Neymar has scored 18 goals and nine assists in 22 games for PSG this year. And Barcelona are once again reportedly keeping an eye on him for a possible return at Camp Nou.

It was also with Barcelona where Neymar progressed into a soccer superstar, playing alongside Messi. He was widely viewed as another solid addition to the already stacked Barca squad in 2013. However, reputable soccer website Squawka only ranked the Brazilian 7 th on their recent list of Best Barcelona forwards of this century despite bagging a total of 105 goals in 186 games for the club and being one of the best players to ever play at Camp Nou.
