  • Manchester United had an impressive performance in the recent Premier League
  • It has been reported that Manchester United could have had a chance to sign Chelsea's Christian Pulisic
  • Pulisic has been a consistent winger hailing from the United States

The roster of Manchester United lineup remains to be elite with several players stepping up for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. But Solskjaer could have even had an even deeper lineup as the club had the opportunity to sign Chelsea’s star Christian Pulisic.

The past few seasons featured Pulisic blossoming as one of the more reliable players for Chelsea. With 33 appearances, he has scored already 10 times and has tallied 10 assists. The way he attacks offensively has always been one of his strong points ever since his days with Borussia Dortmund. Throughout his stint with the Germany-based squad, he scored 19 times and put up 26 assists.

In this year’s Premier League, Pulisic has been a staple force for Frank Lampard with 19 starts. With Pulisic's consistency on the field, he’s slowly rising as one of the better offensive stars in the sport. Throughout his career, he has averaged 2.4 shots per game to go along with 1.3 key passes a night. With the way he likes to cut inside and remain aggressive whenever he’s on the pitch, the former United States Footballer of the year's strengths lie in his dribbling and finishing skills.

It has been reported that Pulisic could have suited up for The Red Devils per Fansided’s Red Devil Armada. The way 21-year-old played in Dortmund’s academy was so impressive that Manchester United’s scout Jorge Avial immediately gained interest. Unfortunately, the call to sign the American standout did not push through for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

It’s an important time for Manchester United now given how well they ended their season in a tightly contested Premier League. Their final win came at the perfect time as it propelled them to a Champions League berth. The team has been rejuvenated with the likes of Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood providing quality football on the pitch. The team is now also chasing star scorer Jadon Sancho to suit up for their club.

The intensity of the Champions League remains a big challenge for Solskjaer and the rest of the club but that is not enough for them to back down to any challenge. Despite being unable to sign the rising star Pulisic, the team remains an elite team across the world.
