Oracle Corporation (Nasdaq: ORCL) said Monday it will buy Xsigo Systems, a network virtualization technology company, to expand its presence in the cloud computing business. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

"Xsigo's software-defined networking technology simplifies cloud infrastructure and operations by allowing customers to dynamically and flexibly connect any server to any network and storage, resulting in increased asset utilization and application performance while reducing cost," Redwood City, Calif.-based Oracle said in a statement.

Oracle recently purchased human-resources software maker Taleo Corp. for $1.9 billion and cloud-based customer service company RightNow Technologies Inc. for $1.43 billion, the Wall Street Journal said.
