  • Paul Pogba has had a boost in his performance care of the addition of Bruno Fernandes
  • The new duo is expected to lead Manchester United to a brighter future ahead
  • Manchester United is currently fifth in the Premier League standings

For months there has been speculation that Paul Pogba is seeking an exit from Manchester United. But with recent developments with the club, it’s been reported that the French standout is inclined to stay due to roster changes within the team.

The prolific scorer Pogba has been revitalized as of late with how Manchester United has been performing. While it has always been expected that he would carry the load of the team, the addition of Bruno Fernandes has helped take the pressure off his shoulders.

The chemistry of the club has improved and has brought them enough momentum to dominate in the past few weeks. The return of the games has featured Manchester United bouncing back as strong as ever in their performances.

It has been an interesting relationship in the past year with Pogba and United as there have been several instances where the 27-year-old expressed his desire to leave. But with key signings this year such as the prolific Fernandes, the cohesiveness of the team changed. The addition of two-time footballer of the year caused some major changes in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team.

This was evident in how the global pandemic has given the opportunity for teams like the Red Devils to regroup to rally for a possible Champions League berth. One of the main reasons for their strong run is how Fernandes has been able to take over offensively.

The fresh look of the team has been evident and was noticed also by former United player Rio Ferdinand. Per Express, the defender shared that Pogba has been a completely new player ever since the restart of the games happened.

"The energy levels in his game, it's the Pogba United paid £89m for four years ago,” Ferdinand said.

The team has had a strong stretch of matches as of late winning four out of their last five bouts. The team is currently fifth in the Premier League standings with a record of 15 wins, 10 draws and eight losses.

"Fernandes is just doing what comes naturally to him and it's been a huge boost to Pogba's form - it's freed him up to play as well,” Ferdinand added.

The chemistry that Pogba has now with Fernandes and the rest of the team is crucial for Solskjaer’s club as they aim to improve moving forward.

"There's probably less pressure on him now because he knows that some of the burden of expectation is being shouldered by Fernandes," Ferdinand concluded.

It will be a crucial set of matches for the Old Trafford-based squad and it will test how strong the new duo of Pogba and Fernandes really is in the deeper stretch of the season.
