Bruno Aschidamini
Co-founder of Sand Cloud
Bruno Aschidamini is one of the co-founders of Sand Cloud, an environment-friendly towel and apparel company that has accumulated millions of dollars in revenue since its inception in 2014. His co-founders Steven Ford and Brandon Leiberl initially built the business, which was then named Cloud Nine, but failed to scale. It was Aschidamini who suggested a better name – Sand Cloud.
It was not until 2017 that the co-founders attracted a $200,000 investment from Robert Herjavec – a Canadian businessman, investor and TV personality – in their appearance on ABC’s hit entrepreneur show “Shark Tank.” With Herjavec on the team, the co-founders expected to achieve $7M in sales in that same year – and they even donated $1M to marine life non-profits.
In 2019, Sand Cloud saw $20M in sales. The company’s success has been featured on CNBC, Barron’s “Penta,” the Orange County Register and Inc. Magazine. Sand Cloud was also included in the 2018 Inc. 5,000, a list of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States.
Aschidamini earned a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from California State University. Before leaving the corporate world and establishing Sand Cloud, he worked as an account manager at Xerox and a senior sales technician at Circuit Lubbers. He is passionate about creating awareness for marine life preservation and was named Philanthropist of the Year in 2018 by the Pacific Marine Mammal Center.
