Pro Bowl defensive tackle Haloti Ngata has agreed to a five-year contract extension that will keep him with the Baltimore Ravens until 2015, the National Football League (NFL) team said on Tuesday.

Ngata, taken by Baltimore with the 12th pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, is coming off a breakout campaign where he set a career-high 5.5 sacks along with 63 tackles to earn Pro Bowl honors for the second straight season.

It just feels awesome, Ngata, 27, said in a report posted on the team's website. I won't have to worry about my family, my kids, with money problems. Hopefully, I can continue to do well for the Ravens now and it's a good deal for them.
