  • Three teenagers were arrested in connection with the stabbing death of a 21-year-old man

  • London police are searching for suspects behind the stabbing of a 17-year-old boy

Three teenagers were arrested in connection with the death of a 21-year-old man who was stabbed in southeast London.

The victim, identified as Gabriel Petrov Stoyanov, was attacked on Bromley Road in Downham on Nov. 4. He died from his injuries the following day, the BBC reported.

Two boys, aged 14 and 17, were charged with Stoyanov's murder Friday. Both suspects have been remanded into custody until their next court appearance. The date is yet to be announced.

The third teenage boy, 16, was also arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the case. There was no confirmation that he had been charged as of this writing.

A 46-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

The mother of the deceased issued a statement following his death, describing Stoyanov as someone with a "sparkling personality and infinite goodness in his heart."

"He was taken from us far too soon in the most brutal and cruel way," she said. "Gabriel was loved by many, he had a wonderful sense of humor, he was easy-going, compassionate, always ready to help others."

"We are devastated by his unnecessary loss, just when his life as a bright, passionate, and motivated adult was beginning," the mother continued.

No further details about the case have been disclosed thus far.

Detective chief inspector Kelly Allen said the investigation was ongoing.

In related news, a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the southeast London town of Bexleyheath at around 10 p.m. on Friday.

The London Ambulance Service, the London Air Ambulance and local police responded to the scene and brought the teenager to a hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were not life-threatening, Kent Live News reported.

According to a Metropolitan Police spokesperson, officers responded to the scene at around 10:03 p.m. after receiving reports of a stabbing in Market Place, Bexleyheath.

"Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance. A 17-year-old male was found with a stab wound. He was taken to an east London hospital for treatment; his injury is not believed to be life-threatening," the spokesperson stated.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
