While having the fan base of the two most popular tennis players in the world root against you, Djokovic revealed that it’s something that doesn’t bother him. Per Yahoo Sport Australia, the current World Number 1 shared that he understands that the tennis community holds Federer and Nadal in high regard. “It is a fact that most fans support Federer and Nadal against me but that's due to what they represent in world tennis,” he said.

While he admits that he would rather have the crowd cheer for him, he does everything that he can to block out the jeers. “I don't want to stir up negative emotions. I have no ill feelings for people who don't support me. Having said that, I am not proud of my occasional reactions on the court as my passion gets the better of my self-control at times.”

Djokovic most recently picked up his 8th Australian Open title when he defeated Dominic Thiem in five sets, 6-4, 4-6, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4.
