Steven Lawrence Rattner is an American financier and private equity investor. He is one of the four founding partners of the private investment firm Quadrangle Group, which invests media and communications companies globally. He has previously served as the top auto industry adviser for the U.S. Treasury Department. Prior to a career in finance, he also served as a New York Times reporter.
