Total bank failures reach 25 in 2009, matching all 2008: report
A total fo 25 U.S. banks have failed in 2009, matching the total banks which closed in 2008, according to a report.
Only three banks failed in all 2007.
On Friday, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp closed down Great Basin Bank of Nevada.
It also shut down American Sterling Bank, which is based in Missouri.
