  • Raphinha shrugs off rumors about his transfer to a new club
  • Raphinha could still leave Leeds United with right offer
  • Liverpool and Manchester United are seen as Raphinha's top suitors

Raphael Dias Belloli of Leeds United is aware that several clubs have expressed interest in him, but he prefers to play it safe.

Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly in the chase to sign him, but the Brazilian forward opts to stay focused and fulfill his obligations with the Peacocks.

With the summer transfer window just around the corner, Raphinha gave his take on the transfer rumors in an interview with UOL Sport.

It was noticeable that he was trying to dodge the questions about the impending move. However, it could not be denied that other factors could see him leave Elland Road before next season starts.

“I’m making people happy with my football. I am not only talking about the other clubs, but also Leeds, who was the one who bet on me… have a contract for another four years and I don’t even think about leaving here for exactly this reason: I am happy and making others happy,” the 24-year-old forward stated.

Raphinha’s response was hardly surprising, but his other replies to the impending move are unlikely to water down transfer rumors.

He pointed out how he has been in touch and continues to hold close ties with several players from the Reds’ side such as Allison Becker and Roberto Firminho.

“In Liverpool, there is Alisson who is from the south too, so everything stays the same. There is still Fabinho, who is from the same place as Firmino and I,” Raphinha stated. “In fact, did you know that Firmino was the first guy who texted me when I came here? He’s a great friend.”

The Brazilian is under contract for the next four years with the Whites and claims that he has no immediate intention of leaving the club.

Also, Leeds United has no reason to let him go after signing him to a $24.11 million pact in October of last year.

Liverpool and Manchester United are expected to scour the transfer market for available talent, but Raphinha could be an expensive target.

The Peacocks could entertain a deal for Raphinha, but they will most likely demand a lofty price to agree to a deal.
