  • Liverpool are among the teams monitoring Adrian Bernabe of Parma Calcio, a report claims
  • Bernabe is considered a promising player following his stint with Manchester City
  • Bernabe could progress better with the help of the Reds' player development program

Adrian Bernabe, who managed to see action for Manchester City despite a packed roster, is now hoping to shine with Parma Calcio. However, his move to Stadio Ennio Tardini could be short-lived, with reports claiming that multiple teams are interested in the 20-year-old midfielder.

Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are among the teams monitoring Bernabe, according to a report by Bernabeu Digital. International Business Times could not independently verify this information.

The fact that the Spanish soccer player got to play in five games under Pep Guardiola despite the coach's talented roster could mean a lot to scouts. Bernabe is also considered one of the “great jewels” currently playing in Italy, the report said, hinting that the number of interested teams in the 20-year-old may grow.

It is worth noting that the Spaniard has yet to see action with Parma. This sparks speculation that Parma could be a short stop before another move in the next transfer window.

Aside from the three teams mentioned, Liverpool FC is another team that may potentially look into acquiring Bernabe, according to the report. The Reds have reportedly shown interest in him and that interest could grow once he is given the chance to play by Parma.

Considering Liverpool appears to be focusing on injecting youth into the team, Bernabe is a target that would make sense. So far, the Reds have signed young players such as Bobby Clark (from Newcastle) and Kaide Gordon (from Derby).

Beyond that, Liverpool has produced its own crop of young and promising players. That list includes Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones, both of whom have risen to the occasion to establish their marks in Europe.

The same could happen to Bernabe if the Reds ever consider making an offer for the young Spaniard.

Should Liverpool snag him and unleash his full potential, it could be something that will leave Manchester City scratching their heads.

Manchester City is coming off a goalless draw against Southampton Saturday. Guardiola said he felt guilty because his team failed to put on a show in front of 52,698 fans at Etihad Stadium, BBC reported.

"[The fans] come to see a show, to see a game. When it doesn't happen, I feel a bit guilty because we didn't play good,” Guardiola said after the match.

The crowd during the game was the biggest so far this season, a result of Guardiola calling on fans to attend the match following their 6-3 Champions League win over RB Leipzig on Wednesday.

"I didn't say anything wrong after Leipzig," he said. "I said we had an incredibly tough game against Southampton and we would need the support from the fans."
