Orders for U.S. durable goods plunged 4.2 percent in March, primarily due to fewer orders for commercial aircraft, the U.S. Commerce Department announced on Wednesday.
The 4.2 percent plunge was substantially worse than the Bloomberg consensus estimate of a 1.5 percent decline.
