Economists expect retail sales to lose some momentum in June, with the monthly pace slowing down to 0.2 percent from the previous month’s 0.5 percent.

This week’s economic calendar will also shed light on the state of the housing market. Housing starts are expected to see an addition of 1.268 million units in June compared to the prior month’s 1.269 million units. Building permits issued in the month of June are expected to drop to 1.280 million units from 1.294 million units issued in May.

Industrial production and consumer sentiment survey are other notable indicators on this week’s economic calendar.
