U.S. Home Prices Fell 0.8% In February: Case-Shiller
The Case-Shiller Home Price Index of 20 cities fell 0.8 percent in February, on a non-seasonally-adjused basis -- hitting its lowest level in nearly a decade.
On a seasonally-adjusted basis, prices rose 0.2 percent in Febraury, slightly higher than the Bloomberg consensus estimate of an 0.1-percent month-to-month gain for the 20-city index.
On a year-over-year basis, prices fell 3.5 percent in February, compared to a year ago, in Febraury 2011, on a non-seasonally-adjusted basis.
