Wall Street turns negative as resources drag
Stocks gave up ground and major indexes turned negative on Wednesday, led by declines in energy and resource shares as the price of oil and other commodities fell.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> slipped 7.93 points, or 0.07 percent, to 10,619.33. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> fell 1.89 points, or 0.17 percent, to 1,134.33. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> lost 6.97 points, or 0.31 percent, to 2,275.34.
