The biggest mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion in the Middle East recently put on one of its biggest events of the year, and it produced a pair of vicious Knockout Of The Year candidates.

Brave Combat Federation, an MMA promotion based in Bahrain, held its second event of the year last Thursday, and it aimed to showcase a number of the promotion’s Asian talents. The card was aptly-entitled Brave CF 47: Asian Domination.

The live spectacle was headlined by Kyrgyzstan's Abdisalam Kubanychbek defeating Filipino veteran Rolando Gabriel Dy by corner stoppage in a battle between two of the organization’s top lightweight contenders.

The undercard, meanwhile, saw a pair of insane knockouts that are definitely worthy of Knockout Of The Year consideration.

In one of the evening’s early preliminary bouts, India’s Mohammed Farhad scored a fantastic one-punch knockout of Pakistan’s Uloomi Karim.

Karim, who was landing some bombs of his own, had Farhad backing up against the cage. As the Pakistani was charging in, the Indian hard-hitter sidestepped and landed a picture-perfect right hand to the jaw.

Karim was out before he dropped to the mat, and Farhad followed up with a hammerfists for good measure before getting pulled off by the official.

Later that night, two super welterweights clashed in a featured bout that ended--with Uzbekistan’s Nursulton Ruziboev putting France’s Ibrahim Mane to sleep with a thunderous slam in the opening round.

After getting mounted by Mane, Ruziboev popped out of trouble by reversing the position, only to find himself trapped in a triangle choke attempt.

Ruziboev postured up and delivered a spine-folding slam that immediately had Mane separated from his senses. The Uzbek veteran landed one more hammerfist before the fight was stopped by the referee.

With the win, Ruziboev improved to 29-8-2, while Mane fell to 8-4.
