John Cena has vowed to perform for WWE until his body says no.

Cena may not have appeared on SmackDown's debut on Fox this week, but he wants to let everybody know that he hasn't walked away from the WWE.

Just like The Rock, the 16-time world champion gained popularity in Hollywood and has become a part-timer and would only make WWE appearances every now and then. However, despite the bigger demands of being a Hollywood star, Cena has vowed to perform in the WWE until his body finally says "it’s time."

In a recent interview with Fightful, Cena revealed what makes WWE perfect for his career. According to WWE star, every WWE appearance is special for him. He even emphasized that as long as he can keep up with what the company is doing, he will answer the call.

“No, no. I will never walk away from WWE. That’s the great thing about WWE; you can perform in any capacity. A nd as long as I’ve made a promise in the in-ring aspect of things, as long as I can keep up with the current product, I will perform," Cena vowed.

Cena also admitted that he is starting to take better care of his body as he is not getting any younger. As much as he wanted to perform for WWE, he feels like he really needs to take some time off even if he didn’t become a Hollywood sensation.

“My body just can’t handle the schedule anymore. It’s a lot of performances a year. And I love it so much; I don’t ever want to take time off. I wanna perform,” Cena admitted.

“When I turned 40, I honestly looked in the mirror and said, ‘Hey man, I know you really like this. But instead of 250 performances a year, from here on out, just do it 100 times a year and do it well.’ And then it became, ‘Just do it 50 times (a year) and do it well.’ And now it’s like, ‘Hey, you really have to prepare to get ready to perform, and then really recover after a performance,” Cena added.

Recent WWE reports claim that Cena isn't scheduled for an appearance in the near future. Since the Raw Reunion in July, Cena hasn’t been seen in the WWE and hasn't wrestled for the company since January.

Nevertheless, Cena remains one of the most iconic WWE stars to ever step in the ring. And now that he has vowed to perform for the company, it isn’t impossible to see him pop up in the WWE stage once again.
