WWE Executive Vice President Paul “Triple H” Levesque issued an apology to former wrestler Paige regarding an offensive joke he made in an interview about a possible return of WWE Hall of Famer Edge.

On his Twitter account, the 50-year old wrestler turned business executive shared to the public that he reached out to Paige and issues an apology about the incident. He also extended his apologies to anybody who can relate to the remarks that he’s said.

The 14-time world champion said the statement during an interview about wrestling topics such as wrestling in NXT, Wrestlemania appearance of Tyson Fury, and the possible return of Edge to competing in the ring after a long hiatus. In the video below at 6:00 mark, Levesque made the joke when he was talking about them prioritizing their wrestlers’ health before shifting to Paige.

"Edge has kids, you know, Paige - she probably has some she doesn't know of,” said Levesque with the latter statement drew laughter from the room where, per Wrestling Inc., pertaining to a joke that the 27-year old English wrestler having kids that she doesn’t know of.

The former Divas’ Champion didn’t take the remark lightly and posted on her Twitter account a brave stand against her boss’ remarks.

To get her side, he was interviewed by BT Sport and clarified that they are going to talk about some things about the incident. "Obviously I was a little bit perplexed, a little bit taken aback because he's someone that I truly look up to and he's always been very respectful,” revealed Paige. “I feel like he got caught up, maybe, in a joke, that I just don't think was appropriate to joke about,” she added.

"He's definitely reached out. We're going to be talking about some things," Paige confirmed.
