  • Jeff Hardy was recently released by WWE, much to the surprise of the wrestling world
  • Insiders suggest that Hardy was dealing with personal problems
  • The wrestling community has extended their support via social media

Jeff Hardy was recently released, and now sources have come out with details regarding what had happened to the fan-favorite before WWE cut ties with him for the second time.

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast revealed that Hardy had been dealing with some problems in his personal life but did not discuss what these were.

“What I was told is that [Jeff Hardy has] been really good. He does occasionally drink, but the last couple of weeks has been rough for him. Those are the words, more or less. I hope he gets better,” Zarian said on his podcast.

Pro wrestling insider Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful also chimed in on Hardy’s condition prior to being released, to the point that WWE had even offered to help.

However, Hardy ultimately declined.

Hardy’s wife, Beth, also tweeted out that their family is doing alright despite him being released shortly before going private for a short while on the social media app.

Former WWE performer Virgil took to Instagram to show his support for Hardy.

“Much love to Jeff. He is one of the most real dudes. People don’t have a [expletive] clue what we have to do to get through the day. I am beside you brother. You are first-class through and through.”

The trouble concerning Hardy has been brewing for over a week now after he walked out on a tag team match during a house show on December 4 and was sent home the following day due to unknown reasons.

At this point, fans and observers can only hypothesize why the 44-year-old acted erratically.

The best guess that anyone can come up with is that Hardy may be feeling like his body is starting to fail him after being in the wrestling business for the better part of 29 years, dating back to 1992.

Hardy etched his name in the annals of pro wrestling history after his death-defying stunts captured the hearts and minds of pro wrestling fans, but he struggled with substance abuse for a big part of his career at the same time.

More details regarding “The Charismatic Enigma” and his release are expected to come out in the following days.
