  • Edge is one of WWE's Hall of Famers
  • Paige is a former women's champion
  • There is still no confirmation about their WWE returns

Triple H has opened up on possible return of Hall of Famer Edge and former women’s champion Paige ahead of the Royal Rumble.

With the year’s first Page Per View (PPV) event nearing, which is the road to WrestleMania 36, there have been several rumors being revolved including Edge’s return to the squared ring of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and not just that, a few reports have also suggested that Edge could win the Royal Rumble, which is scheduled to happen on Jan. 27 in Houston. If he wins the event, he could reportedly also make headlines at the WrestleMania 36 later in the year.

On the other hand, there have also been talks that retired wrestler Paige could well be in line to make her WWE ring comeback. However, the WWE Universe is considering Edge’s return to be more practical than Paige’s.

WWE’s vice-president of Live events, Talent and Creative, Triple H recently spoke about these reports and gave an update on both superstars’ return in an interview with Gary Cassidy.

“With both of them, those would be personal choices for them—Nah, I shouldn’t say that. Personal choice for the part of it and then the medical choice for the other part of it, right? WWE is at a different level, it’s hard to even put that—there is just no other level with us from a medical oversight standpoint."

"Just because you have a doctor every now and then doesn’t mean you have a medical protocol. For us there are certain parameters when we believe that it’s not in your best interest, we put the human being first, their health, and their long-term health,” Triple H said.

“Life goes on for a long time after this ends. Especially now—the style and physicality have increased dramatically. So, when you get to a place where at some point we’re telling you, ‘Medically, not in your best interest. It’s a medical decision, if our medical experts say they believe that this person has done whatever to rehab their situation and have done all of that, and are now safe to get back into the ring, we allow it,” the former champion further added.

Even though Triple H did not commit Paige and Edge’s return, he did mention that the health of the superstars is priority right now for the WWE Company. Since both Edge and Paige suffered serious and career-ending injuries so the WWE Company would not want to put their well-being at risk once again.
