It's been a rough week for John Cena.

First, Cena was defeated by The Rock in the Once in a Lifetime main event match at WrestleMania XXVIII (28), the most watched pay-per-view wrestling match of the year.

Then, on Monday Night Raw, Cena was defeated by Brock Lesnar during his World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) return at the American Airlines Area in Miami on Monday night, his first appearance in over eight years.

Lesnar, a former UFC heavyweight champion, made his long-awaited return to the WWE after a four-year career with the MMA, of which he retired in December.

Here's how the match went down.

Cena was on stage congratulating The Rock on his victory the previous night at WrestleMania, asking that he come out to shake hands. Instead, Lesnar appears and, as the crowd goes wild, extends his hand to Cena. Nope, not for a handshake.

Lesnar, known as The Next Big Thing in the wrestling community, laid out Cena with his signature F5 finishing maneuver as Cena lay on the ground speechless while Lesnar exited the ring.

It is unclear if Brock Lesnar is here to stay in the WWE, but WrestleNews.com reported that Lesnar signed a one-year deal which terminates after WrestleMania 29.

Lesnar has signed on for a minimum of two appearances per month over the next year plus additional appearances during the build to WrestleMania 29, the report from WrestleNewz read. The belief is that Lesnar will make around 30-35 appearances over the next year but WWE likely has the ability to negotiate additional appearances, if he's willing to make them.

According to WrestleNewz, there may even been some between Lesnar and The Rock.

As seen on RAW, The Rock teased a run with the WWE Title, the report read. Speculation is that Lesnar will eventually challenge The Rock for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 29.
