An earthquake of magnitude 3.3 was reported in Los Angeles area early on Saturday with an epicenter about two miles southeast of Gardena, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake at around 12:36 a.m. PDT, and registered a depth of about 10 miles. Only a light to moderate shaking in the area was produced by the quake, according to USGS data.

Around 2,000 people responded to the USGS's Standard question 'Did you feel it' on its official website, within half an hour of the earthquake strike.
