Ciara’s (Victoria Konefal situation turned more dangerous on “Days of Our Lives.” XJ Johnson/ JPI Studios for NBC

The summer heat only served to also dial up the drama and the danger this week on “Days of Our Lives,” “The Young and the Restless,” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

With truly warm temperatures outside only rising, the situations embracing the world of soaps failed to be a way of cooling things down. In case you missed a moment of the dangerous situations and major drama that unfolded, here are the six biggest things that happened during the week of July 9.

“Days Of Our Lives” (NBC)

Ciara’s Situation Gets Heated

If Ciara (Victoria Konefal) thought dealing with Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) while he was hallucinating was bad enough, she had no idea what other problems she would be facing inside the cabin. Shortly after he left to get his prescription refilled, the cabin went up in flames, and thanks to her broken leg, she was trapped inside. After passing out, she was later rescued by her mother and Rafe (Galen Gering) and Ben was arrested for starting the fire. However, he swears he didn’t set it and he never wanted to hurt Ciara. What’s shocking to everyone is that Ciara believes him.

The Custody Battle Turns Ugly

The custody battle for Tate heated up unexpectedly on “Days of Our Lives.” XJ Johnson/JPI Studios for NBC

If Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Theresa’s (Jen Lilley) custody battle seemed ugly before, when Brady was accused of potentially being behind Deimos’ murder, they took a whole new turn this week. Desperate to help Brady win, Eve (Kassie DePaiva) worked with Victor (John Aniston) to have drugs planted in JJ’s (Casey Moss) home, where Theresa is staying. Theresa blamed Brady for the plant, and the judge wasn’t sure who to trust when it came to custody of Tate. However, in an unexpected turn of events, one which could end badly for him, JJ stood up and claimed the drugs were his. Now, he will face the fallout, as Brady and Theresa wait to learn which one of them will be Tate’s custodial parent.

“The Young And The Restless” (CBS)

JT Is Back

After spooking Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Sharon (Sharon Case) by appearing outside Sharon’s home, JT (Thad Luckinbill) has officially made an even bigger move. He has contacted Victor (Eric Braden) directly, and the two men are now in an alley, determined to put an end to their feud. The question remains, however, which one of them will succeed?

Christian’s Custody Is Determined

After a nasty battle that saw Victor winning temporary custody of Christian, the final verdict about who would take care of the young boy was determined. Though Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) relationship with Sharon initially lost him custody, Victor’s recent health struggles coming to light led to a change of heart in the new ruling—as Nick was reunited with the boy he has been raising as his own, for good.

“The Bold And The Beautiful” (CBS)

Sally Is Accused Of Threatening Hope

The investigation into who was cyber-stalking Hope (Annika Noelle) and leaving her threatening messages came to a conclusion, and to no one’s surprise, Sally (Courtney Hope) was determined to be the culprit. However, Sally herself is stunned that she’s been traced to the crime because she knows she didn’t do anything, and wouldn’t, because she doesn’t want to jeopardize her second chance with the Forresters. Still, with the technical evidence against her, she’s going to be fighting a hard battle.

Zoe’s Motives Are Revealed

What no one has yet figured out is that the person who used Sally’s computer to send the messages was the new artist in town, Zoe (Kiara Barnes), who stole the device while painting a mural for Wyatt (Darin Brooks). However, even scarier than what she’s done with the messages is what she plans to continue doing now that she’s in L.A. As it turns out, she is Xander’s (Adain Bradley) obsessive ex from England, and she intends to do whatever necessary to get him back.
