There have been several attacks on his company and his reputation in recent weeks, and now, Victor will finally get his showdown with the man responsible on the Friday, July 13 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

For weeks on the CBS soap, there have been attacks attempting to destroy Newman Enterprises as well as ones that seemed aimed at taking Victor (Eric Braden) down entirely. So far, he has seen his company suffer greatly, his private health concerns broadcast to the world, and he lost his bid to have custody of his grandson, and Victor has had enough. Now, following a text from someone who appeared to be JT (Thad Luckinbill), whom it is clear is responsible for everything, Victor will prepare to meet his enemy once more and finish their war once and for all.

His plan to meet with JT alone is something that his loved ones will object too, but Victor will refuse to let anyone else accompany him to the meeting, and he will indicate that things will end in his favor. As they are left worrying, he will in fact head to an abandoned alleyway, where JT will appear on the other side. Victor will be happy to see him because he has been waiting for his chance to take the man down.

However, the showdown could of course also go horribly wrong and not the way Victor intends at all. Not only is JT certainly able to physically overpower him, as evidenced by their last physical showdown, but he may also find a way to disarm Victor mentally as well.

Among the ways he could make things take an unexpected turn is by confessing the truth to Victor about his initial disappearance, which is something that Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Sharon (Sharon Case) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) have been keeping a secret. If he tells him what he knows about that night, Victor could be stunned by the betrayal of both his daughter and his wife, who never told him they believed they had killed JT.

However, he could also disarm Victor in another way. While the man standing in front of him will share JT’s face, he could, in fact, be someone else who is also out for revenge, and he could reveal himself to Victor by his true identity.

Whatever happens, it won’t be the end of the saga concerning everything happening to Victor and his company.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
