Although “90 Day Fiancé” star Fernanda Flores’ marriage to Jonathan Rivera is over, her love life is heating up. The TLC recently opened up about her new romance with “The Bachelorette” star Clay Harbor.

Prior to her romance with Clay, Fernanda went through a public split with her ex-husband. The Mexico native moved to North Carolina to be with the realtor, but the couple eventually went their separate ways.

Although she was initially turned off about the idea of falling in love following her divorce, during an appearance on “90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined,” Fernanda revealed that she would like to start a family someday.

“I do want kids. If you asked me this question when I was fresh out of my separation, I would say, ‘No, I will never date again! I don’t believe in men, But you know, I’m ready to give love a chance again,’” she explained.

Fernanda went on to reflect on her failed marriage, and how much her life has changed since moving to Chicago after the split. “In the past year, everything in my life changed 100 percent,” the 22-year-old shared.

“Jonathan and I, we met in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. And he promised me like, you know, move in with me, let’s marry, let’s have a future. I tried my best at the beginning to give us an opportunity, but things went from bad to worse. “

Fernanda revealed she eventually realized she needed to do what was best for her. “I couldn’t handle it. We were married six months until we got [separated]. The divorce is final now. We both signed the papers. I feel relief. I feel free. I feel ready to eat the world,” she said.

One of the benefits of feeling liberated is dating new people. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Fernanda has had to find a new way to enjoy the company of someone else. “Today I’m having a date — a Zoom date. I’m excited. I’m a little nervous,” she revealed during the “90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined” episode.

“Clay is just a guy that I like a lot. He was a football player. He’s been in a few reality TV shows before. Clay’s so hot.”

Fernanda went on to admit that she was eager to go on a date with Clay in person and was looking forward to the day when she no longer had to go on Zoom dates.
