Abby Lee Miller is not pleased with new “Dance Moms” coach Cheryl Burke’s comment about her sentencing. The controversial reality TV star has slammed her successor and even warned the latter that she should be mindful of her words.

On Monday, Miller sat down with Us Weekly for an exclusive interview in the wake of her prison sentencing. Miller grabbed the opportunity to respond to Burke’s controversial comment that the “Dance Moms” girls are “traumatized” over their former coach’s sentencing to 366 days in federal prison. “I think it’s a joke. In my studio, every single day, I had numerous producers, [choreographer] Gianna [Martello] and some type of child advocate servicer person who’s the tutor/social worker who is there, who watches … everything that’s said, everything that goes on,” Miller said. “So, how could any traumatizing be going on? That’s ridiculous.”

Miller then gave a warning to Burke, who was previously a competitor on ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” before snagging the “Dance Moms” coaching position. “I think that’s a really rough statement and I would never say that about Cheryl. I think she needs to watch her mouth,” she said.

The 50-year-old choreographer and owner of Reign Dance Productions then dropped some subtle shade at Burke by insinuating that the latter does not have what it takes to host the Lifetime series, as pointed out by Perez Hilton. “Doing a show for three weeks is nothing like doing a show for seven seasons,” she said.

Miller is set to serve some jail time at the Federal Correctional Institute in Dublin, California starting June 23. Early this month, Miller was sentenced to one year and one day in federal prison after pleading guilty to fraud charges last year. After this, she will spend the next two years in supervised release, as first reported by People.

Originally, Miller faced more than 20 counts of fraud in relation to her non-disclosure of her earnings from “Dance Moms” and other projects when she filed for bankruptcy. She pleaded guilty to one count of bankruptcy fraud and another count for failing to disclose the $10,000 she brought to the U.S. after earning the said amount in Australian currency, as per Daily Mail.

Miller was also found to have created a secret bank account to conceal her $775,000 earnings from the reality show. Despite the negative repercussions she’s facing right now, Miller told Entertainment Tonight that she felt “relieved” and “peaceful” when she left the court room following her sentencing. “I know that I didn’t make the right decisions all the time,” she said.
