It was recently announced that Grammy winning artist, Adele, will be gracing the VMA stage for the very first time this August. The English singer-songwriter has definitely risen as one of this years superstars with her hit album "21."

"The British chanteuse is up for seven nods for her emotional "Rolling in the Deep" video, including Best Female Artist, Best Pop Video, Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Direction, Best Editing and the night's big prize, Video of the Year," Jocelyn Vena at MTV news reported. Also performing during the award show for the second time since 2007 is Chris Brown.

"I am excited about my nominations and to be back on the VMA stage," Brown said. "I have a special performance planned for my wonderful fans." He is up for a few VMA awards including: Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Collaboration with Busta Rhymes and Wayne. Our third performer for the night is none other than Wayne himself. He is up for Best Hip Hop Video among other awards.

Also attending the show is Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, and many, many more! The VMA awards in Los Angeles is proving to be a highly anticipated night for music and pop culture. Hopefully this one will or (will not) be as notorious as previous years.
