Aerosmith has announced a new album that Steven Tyler is promising will not let you down.

On Wednesday, members of Aerosmith (minus guitarist Brad Whitford), released details about their 15th studio album, due in three months. The untitled album is the band's first in eight years.

We've been underground for four months, doing what we do best, Steven Tyler said, at a press conference in Los Angeles.

We got two more songs to finish before mixing, he added.

According to Aerosmith, new songs on the album will include Legendary Child, Beautiful and Out Go The Lights.

Despite rumors of constant riffs between Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry, the two seemed comfortable together as Tyler mentioned how happy he was that the guitarist performed Happy Birthday on American Idol to mark his 64th. But when asked about the perks of having a TV star in the band, Perry responded, He gives us free sunglasses.

In addition to the new album, the bad boys from Boston recently confirmed that their Global Warming tour will kick off on June 16 with a performance in Minneapolis, MN. The tour is scheduled through Aug. 8, with Cheap Trick as the opening act.

Aerosmith's last string of dates was a Latin America/Japan tour in 2011.
