Joshua Jackson reportedly wants to give his relationship with ex Diane Kruger another chance.

Sources told Page Six that “The Affair” actor is still in love with Kruger despite agreeing to split from the actress last month after a decade of dating.

“He never wanted the breakup in the first place,” a source said. “He’s pretty bummed out… Diane is currently wearing the pants and calling the shots with the breakup, but he wants to work things out with her.”

Although Jackson has been linked to a couple of girls since the breakup, the source said that the 38-year-old actor hasn’t really felt that he’s single following the split.

Reps for both actors confirmed to People that the two had “decided to separate and remain friends” on July 18, but just a month later, the two sparked reconciliation rumors after they were spotted leaving a liquor store together in West Hollywood, Los Angeles .

In a video obtained by the Daily Mail, Jackson and Kruger were seen chatting with one another while walking closely together. Although the topic of their conversation was unclear, there were moments when they both appeared to be deep in thought.

Jackson and Kruger were last photographed together when the former “Dawson's Creek” actor dropped off the actress at the LAX on Aug. 19. The two were spotted giving each other a hug before the 40-year-old actress left for her flight.

Despite their recent public sightings together, sources told E! News and Gossip Cop that Jackson and Kruger are not hoping to rekindle their romance and are just trying to remain friends.

Jackson and Kruger began dating in 2006. Although they were together for 10 years, they never got engaged or married.

"I can tell you why we're not married: We're not religious," Jackson explained to Glamour in 2014. "I don't feel any more or less committed to Diane for not having stood in front of a priest and had a giant party. We're both children of divorce, so it's hard for me to take marriage at face value as the thing that shows you've grown up and are committed to another person."

Kruger, however, was previously married to French actor Guillaume Canet from 2001 to 2006.
