“America’s Got Talent” Season 11 winner Grace Vanderwaal looked dashing in her red dress when she attended a lighting event at the Empire State Building.

On her Instagram account, the 13-year-old “Clay” singer posted a photo after she performed for several engaged couples for Valentine’s Day at the New York City landmark. Vanderwaal also participated in the lighting of the building for the special occasion.

Following her performance, the “Clay” singer posted another snap of herself enjoying the breathtaking view from the Empire State Building’s topmost floor. The young singer expressed her gratitude to those who invited her to the gathering.

Meanwhile, Vanderwaal’s schedule is not too busy these days. At present, she regularly goes to the recording studio to work on her upcoming album. But after she was declared the grand champion in “America’s Got Talent” Season 11, Vanderwaal went on to do a series of TV appearances. She also released her EP, “Perfectly Imperfect,” and graced various events and interviews. Vanderwaal also performed a series of sold-out concerts in Las Vegas. The young singer is currently active on Instagram, Twitter and YouTube as well, since this is how she connects with her millions of fans.

Last year, Vanderwaal urged her millions of Instagram followers to stop comparing her to Taylor Swift. When she had been a contestant of the hit NBC reality TV show, judge Simon Cowell said that Vanderwaal resembled a young Swift. Even though Vanderwaal was pleased with the compliment, she has been vocal about wanting to be acknowledged and praised for her own merits.

Cowell’s fellow judge, Howie Mandel, supported Vanderwaal’s desire to not be compared to Swift, or any singer for that matter. “The most amazing thing about Grace is that you haven’t heard anybody who sounds like her,” he told Entertainment Weekly.
