‘America’s Got Talent’
Will Henry Richardson have another chance at competing in the live shows in “America’s Got Talent” Season 12? NBC

“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 contestant Henry Richardson did not make it to the live shows after getting cut, but his latest performance went viral online.

The 15-year-old magician’s act on Tuesday night’s episode of the hit NBC reality TV competition has already received close to one million views. Richardson did an impressive card trick that wowed all five judges. Heidi Klum couldn’t believe that the teenager managed to transfer the card that she signed into a snack. Guest judge Seal was also impressed when Richardson changed the deck of cards in his hand into clear plastic cards.

Unfortunately, when it was time to reveal the seven acts that made it through to the live shows, Richardson wasn’t one of them. Since he is just 15 years old, Richardson has time to perfect his skills in magic, so he could return to “America’s Got Talent” next year. However, it is also possible that a contestant as talented as him may be invited to return to the show as a wild card.

Last season, 36 contestants made it to the live shows. This number included the 28 contestants who were selected during the four judge cuts round. Five contestants who received the golden buzzers during their audition were also included, while the remaining spots were filled by wild cards. This means that three acts may be invited to return to “America’s Got Talent” Season 12 despite getting cut.

In Season 11, Rubik’s cube magician Steven Brundage was asked to return after his supporters urged the people behind the show to reconsider their decision to let him go. Brundage performed in the live shows, but he didn’t make it very far in the competition. FLIP, a dance troupe, was also asked to return as a wild card. They were joined by projection dancer Sila Sveta.

Meanwhile, “America’s Got Talent” Season 12 will kick off its first live show on Tuesday night. The top 33 contestants, along with any wild cards, will be performing by batch. The viewers will have the opportunity to vote their favorite acts, and the one that receives the lowest number of votes will be sent home on Wednesday night.

“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
