Tributes are pouring in for Angie Dowds, the popular trainer, who jumped to her death last week at Beachy Head near Eastbourne, East Sussex, a notorious suicide spot.

She appeared on The Biggest Loser in the U.K. since its origination in 2005.The fitness trainer had reportedly battled drink and drug problems in the past. Dowds received a Personal Instructor of the Year Great Britain award in 2006. Canadian-born Dowds moved to the UK when she was four.

Davina McCall, English television presenter and actress, most notable as the host of the UK version of Big Brother, has led tributes to Dowds. A message posted on McCall's verified Twitter account read: Rest in peace Angie Dowds @angechops. So so sad.

Among other tributes, there is one from Natalie Dowds, saying she is Angie’s younger sister. Her post at the star’s Facebook site says: My big sis sleep with the angels rip xxxxx.
