Anna Chlumsky is no longer the adorable little girl from the '90s, when she starred opposite Macaulay Culkin in My Girl (and its sequel).

It's been nearly two decades since the Girl days. Over the years, Chlumsky has taken on a number of guest roles on shows like 30 Rock, Law & Order and White Collar. She's also appeared on the occasional TV movie and film, playing mostly supporting roles.

Now, the 31-year-old Chlumsky is part of one of the biggest shows of her career. Chlumsky stars in the HBO comedy series Veep, alongside Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tony Hale and Matt Walsh.

Based on the BBC sitcom The Thick of It, Veep follows the everyday office life of a fictional US vice president, played by Louis-Dreyfus. Chlumsky is her chief of staff.

She's a young chief of staff for a vice president, and a female chief of staff, so certainly there will be comedy and dramatic moments in that people will want to test her a lot, Chlumsky told Slate in May 2011.

She's the CEO of the company of the vice president, and she's got a mouth on her, and she bosses people around. She takes no prisoners, she added.

On Tuesday, Chlumsky brought all sorts of va-va-voom to the red carpet premiere of Veep, posing for photos with her cast. The actress donned a vintage black Versace dress, while her hair got a side sweep treatment.

Veep premieres on HBO Apr. 22 at 10 p.m. EST.
