“Ant-Man” may feature Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and other Avengers, director Peyton Reed is hinting. In a recent interview with Empire magazine, Reed suggested that some of the cast members of “Captain America: Civil War” might appear in "Ant-Man."

"That's classified information. That's buried. It's possible,” said Reed when asked whether Mackie will appear alongside other Avengers, reported Comic Book Movie.

Ant-Man is a character in “Captain America: Civil War,” and fans are speculating that some of the Avengers might turn up in “Ant-Man” to recruit Scott Lang in their team.

“Ant-Man” will concern Lang's origin story and how he aids his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, in protecting the secret of Ant-Man technology that lets him shrink in size but gain strength. Lang (Paul Rudd) will plot to save humanity from various threats. The cast includes Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Tip "T.I." Harris, Wood Harris, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian and Michael Douglas. Reed is directing from the screenplay by Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish, Adam McKay and Rudd. The film is based on the Marvel comic of the same name by Stan Lee, Larry Liever and Jack Kirby.

In his interview, Reed also noted how the film differs from the version of Wright, who worked on the “Ant-Man” script but walked out of the project for undisclosed reasons. “One of my concerns up front was, ‘Someone else has developed this movie for a really long time. Can I come in and make it my own?’ And that has absolutely been the case. For one thing, Marvel have let me explore the dark side of Hank Pym, this tortured, guilt-ridden guy. I love that this is a mentor-pupil story,” said Reed.

“Ant-Man” is scheduled to premiere July 14 at the Fantasia International Film Festival and will open in theaters on July 17 in 3D and IMAX versions.
