The first iPhone porn app was approved and then later, disapproved and removed from the iPhone App Store in the space of a few hours.

The app, Hottest Girls, was downloadable for a few hours on Thursday, but is now unavailable.

Apple and the developer, Allen Leung, were not immediately available for comment, but it appears Apple changed its mind after the app received so much press attention on Thursday.

The $1.99 app included over 2200 Adult images and had an age restriction of 17 and over.

Apple has had a good track record of blocking any app's that show nudity or even referenced profanity. A few weeks ago, Apple rejected a Newspaper app that allowed access to over 50 newspapers because the tabloid heavy and UK based “The Sun” included a few topless photos.

The brief approval of the app had many wondering if Apple was now willing to approve adult content on the App Store.

The types of photos the app advertised included:

• Topless/Completely Naked Pics

• Beautiful Girls in Lingerie

• Sexy Asian Girls

• Hot Girls in Bikinis

• Auto Show Ladies with Short Skirts

• Young Racing Queens

• Girls in Costume

• Babes with Barely Any Clothes

• Cute Teenagers
