The 10.5-inch Apple iPad Pro 2 has been rumored for long. When Apple launched a budget 9.7-inch tablet instead in March, calling it just the iPad, it dampened the buzz around the Pro 2 a little. A new leak however, suggests the premium tablet might still be in the works after all.

A Boy Genius Report Wednesday showed a leaked screenshot, supposedly of an inventory list for Urban Armor Gear iPad Pro cases. In it, the iPad Pro 10.5-inch is listed thrice with a due date of June 2017.

The June date deserves special attention due to Apple hosting its World Wide Developers Conference from June 5-9 in San Jose, raising the possibility of the tablet being announced at the event.

Urban Armor Gear manufactures cases for the iPad and had a special UAG Metropolis Folio case listed for the tablet in three color combinations. The case comes with a special holder for the Apple Pencil and is compatible with the Apple smart keyboard. The fact that a large case manufacturer like Urban Armor is taking the possibility of a 10.5-inch iPad seriously lends weight to the rumors about the device's existence.

The iPad Pro 10.5-inch first emerged in an August, 2016 report by KGI Securities. The device has ever since been highly anticipated. Over time, rumors and leaks about the device have suggested how the device might look and what features it might include:

An edge-to-edge display: Since the iPad Pro 10.5-inch is rumored to be the company’s most premium tablet till date, it expected to have a bezel-less display. Such a display for a tablet makes more sense than on a smartphone, given the usable screen area is the most important feature for tablet users.

Display-embedded fingerprint sensor: Apple is expected to opt for a display-embedded fingerprint sensor for both the iPad Pro 10.5-inch and iPhone 8. This might differentiate the company from its major rival Samsung, which could not include the feature on its Samsung Galaxy S8 flagship.

Touch Bar: One of the major features of the new iPad is expected to be a secondary Touch Bar display, just like one on the MacBook Pro 2016 model. It is supposed to act like a bar with visual shortcuts to virtual functions such as emojis.

Apple A10X Processor: The new tablet is expected to have an Apple A10X processor, which is much more powerful than the A9 one on the iPad.

12-megapixel camera: The 10.5-inch Apple iPad Pro is expected to have a 12-megapixel rear camera with features such as Live Photos, 4K video recording, 63-pixel Panorama, auto HDR and 4K recording.

iOS 10.3: The device is expected to come with iOS 10.3 out-of-the-box, just like the iPad.

No 3.5mm audio jack: The new tablet is expected to launch sans the 3.5mm audio jack and instead have a lightening port like iPhone 7.

The iPad Pro 10.5-inch is expected to be priced at $799, more than double the pricing of the iPad.
