Sports fans will be delighted with the new Apple iPhone 5 which is rumored to include a revolutionary new processor that will improve in game experience.

Industry sources suggest that the new iPhone 5 will include a multi-core A5 processor and an Imagination Technologies' Power VR Series6 mobile graphics processing architecture.

Both the processor and the new mobile graphics processing architecture have not been officially confirmed by Apple, but insiders say that both are highly probable.

Sports apps on the iPhone have long been disappointing with choppy graphics, slow response times, and even in-game stalling.

Best selling sports games apps like Madden, NBA JAM, and FIFA from EA Sports will be among those that should see significant improvement from the new iPhone 5.

Apple has already shown it has the capability to do this. The iPad 2 released several months ago was based on the new A5 processor and this increased graphics processing speeds by 9 times over the A4 processor.

Keep your fingers crossed, sports fans, that Apple will do the same for your favorite sports app in the iPhone 5.
