July 9 marks the five-year anniversary of the App Store, the digital distribution system developed by Apple for the iOS device ecosystem. The App Store, which was released in 2008, initially had 500 third-party apps available on its release, growing to more than 900,000 available apps, both free and paid. In honor of the five-year anniversary of the App Store, certain developers are offering their paid apps for free for a limited time. From the action-packed game “Infinity Blade 2” to “Traktor DJ," an app that lets you scratch and mix like a real disc jockey, there’s something for everyone to enjoy from App Store developers. Here’s a list of some of the apps available on the App Store for free in celebration of the five-year anniversary.
