Steven Harris and Lucien Rees Roberts built their precisely detailed weekend retreat on a 50-acre swath of land in upstate New York; the simple, geometric white-stained shingle forms contain eight rooms (including a studio for Rees Roberts, a painter); windows are strategically placed to frame the landscape. The couple enlisted Margie Ruddick to create the minimalist, casual landscaping; Rees-Roberts orchestrated the interiors.
