Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith issued a statement Tuesday denying rumors of a separation, but not everyone is convinced.

After In Touch magazine reported the breakup of their 13-year marriage, the Pinkett-Smiths reluctantly released a denial: Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. Our marriage is intact.

If you thought the wording of the statement was curious, you're not alone: TMZ asked private sources about Will and Jada's statement, and the sources said the language was carefully constructed. The same sources told TMZ that the marriage was in trouble, and while separating is definitely a possibilty, the couple is still committed to making their marriage work.

On Wednesday, In Touch reported that recently single Marc Anthony may to be blame for Will and Jada's marriage troubles. An insider told In Touch that Smith was increasingly concerned about the relationshp between his wife and her HawthoRNe co-star. Will expressed worry to some close to him that there was more than just on-set chemistry between Jada and Marc, the insider said.

According to the source, Will was suspicious enough that in August, he dropped in unannounced to the couple's home where Jada was reportedly staying at the time, and found Anthony and his wife together. He left crying, the source told In Touch. He was very upset. He said Marc was with Jada.

TMZ discredited at least a portion of the In Touch story, reporting that a Pinkett Smith rep had denied allegations of infidelity, and pointing out an apparent chronological error in the story: A source close to the couple tells TMZ ... Marc was at Jada's home, but in April not August, when he went over to look at a DVD.

In 2008, Smith told talk show host Ellen Degeneres that he and Jada were in it for the long haul, no matter what:

What I found is divorce just can't be an option. It's really that simple. And I think that's the problem with L.A. -- there are so many options. So a huge part of the success for [Jada] and I is that we just removed the other options.

In a 2010 radio interview, Jada Pinkett Smith hinted that she and Will may have enjoyed an open marriage.

We always have people that we're attracted to that we talk about. That don't stop just because your married. Somebody's always gonna catch your eye. That's real, Pinkett Smith told FM 98 WJLB.

Somebody's gonna always be prettier than me, and somebody's always gonna be more in awe of him than me, and he gonna be like (in Will's voice) 'yo she really like me' (laughter) but as far as somebody being right for us... is there somebody right for a nice night? Maybe, she continued. But somebody that can sustain our life and sustain what we've built together, absolutely not!

Is it possible that Marc Anthony could be Jada's somebody right for a nice night...or more?

Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Anthony in July, and rumors quickly erupted that her husband's infidelity was partially to blame. Lopez only added fuel to the fire in an interview with Vanity Fair for the September 2011 issue:

To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself -- if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me. I love myself enough to walk away from that now.

If Marc Anthony and Jada Pinkett Smith are indeed having an affair, it reportedly would not be Anthony's first: An insider told US Weekly that Anthony had an affair with a flight attendant in 2009, and that it nearly broke up his marriage.
